We have been supported in the fight against the town's 'hidden' homeless problem by a large donation. Streets2Homes has seen a 133% rise in individuals seeking help to find accommodation in the past five years. In a recent interview with the Star, a former client described homelessness as a 'hidden problem' in Harlow, but praised the charity's support and care in providing a centre and facilities. We welcomed a £20,000 cheque from Astro Lighting, a company based in River Way, Harlow. John Fearon and James Bassant, company co-founders, presented the cheque to Kerrie Eastman, chief executive of Streets2Homes. Mr Fearon said: "As we continue to grow, it is important to us that we give back to our local community. We feel proud to be partnering Streets2Homes to support the incredible work they do for homeless people and those at risk of becoming homeless within the Harlow area".
